The Penny Royal Apartments are set amidst one of Australia's most unique tourist attractions Penny Royal World. A lake, waterfalls, gardens, and views of the Tamar River provide an ideal central location for your visit to Launceston. These apartments are but a short walk from the Cataract Gorge and Cliff Grounds, and they are ideally situated to discover the treats Launceston has to offer. The Penny Royal Motel was originally built in 1825 on the Isis River in the Tasmanian midlands. In 1972, it was transported to its present site, and reassembled stone by numbered stone and reopened as the Penny Royal Motel. The hotel exudes an old world charm with all modern conveniences.
All the accommodations feature ensuite facilities, mini bar, and complimentary coffee and tea making facilities. There is also ample parking available. Penny's Tavern Caf� offers an atmosphere of days gone by, where guests can enjoy a drink in the cosy bar or indulge in an evening meal with a varied menu. Room service is also available for breakfast or dinner.
Please Note:
The hotel's Owls Nest Restaurant and Penny's Tavern are closed until further notice for refurbishment. The Cataract Restaurant located next door will be open for breakfast and dinner.
