Location. The Fairmont Banff Springs rises over two scenic river valleys, and is located less than one kilometer from downtown Banff, Alberta, Canada. Sulphur Mountain Gondola stands two kilometers from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This stately castle offers ten dining and bar venues that include the Banffshire Club. Prix fixe dinners include grilled Alberta bison, white tailed deer and roasted halibut. Authentic German dishes are prepared at Waldhaus Restaurant, and an ample selection of ports, scotches and cocktails are served at the Ramsay Lounge. A fully equipped business center features computers with high speed Internet access, and offers fax, photocopy and print services. Multi function rooms accommodate corporate and social gatherings, and wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and lounges. An adjoining conference center houses a ski shop, a bowling alley and a theater. The Willow Stream Spa boasts mineral pools, a full range of spa treatments and a fitness center. Steam rooms and saunas, an indoor Hungarian mineral pool, personal trainers and numerous fitness classes. Two separate layouts present exciting challenges at The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, while the hotel offers a myriad of recreational amenities and activities that include an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis, horseback riding, panoramic gondola rides, nature tours and multiple water sports.
Guestrooms. The hotel offers 770 guestrooms and suites located in several wings, all with views of the forested Bow or Spray River valleys, or the surrounding mountains. Guestrooms, and one and two bedroom suites feature English style d�cor in a union of bold stripes and soft floral prints. Accommodations feature satellite televisions, coffeemakers and windows that open to fresh mountain air.
