Hotel Veritas is a modern property situated 200 metres from the Sportarena on the Pest side of the Danube, five kilometres from downtown Budapest. The 49 air conditioned guestrooms feature cherry wood red furnishings and simple white walls. All include air conditioning, televisions, minibars, telephones, safes and hair dryers.
Each morning the hotel offers a buffet breakfast, and guests can dine in the aptly named restaurant, In Vino, a playful pun on the hotel name and famous Latin motto. The restaurant serves a range of Hungarian and international dishes, and also has a bar. Guests can enjoy an array of amenities including secure car parking, dry cleaning service, and sightseeing assistance. Air conditioned conference facilities seat 30 to 80 delegates and offer a range of professional audio visual equipment and Internet access. The hotel can also organize folklore evenings and parties. The Veritas is a short taxi or bus ride from the city's attractions, including Heroes Square, three kilometres away, and the Castle District, seven kilometres away. Budapest's spas can also be found seven kilometers from the hotel, including the Art Deco Gellert Baths and the Szechenyi Baths in the City Park. Margaret Island, in the middle of the Danube (about seven kilometres away), also offers outdoor pursuits such as tennis and running track. Budapest airport is 25 kilometres away, linked to the city centre by bus.
