The Hotel De La Pace is a restored 19th century palazzo signorile set in the centre of Florence, within one kilometre of the Duomo and Uffizi Gallery. The 45 guestrooms are decorated in light colours with patterned fabrics, tiled flooring and wood furnishings. Modern amenities include satellite television, direct dial phones, minibars, safes, desks and hair dryers.
Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast in the hotel's bright, airy breakfast room, decorated with antique prints and paintings of Florence, and browse the complimentary newspapers in the hotel lobby. The American Bar offers light refreshments, snacks and a range of drinks and cocktails, and guests on business can make use of the hotel's meeting room. Those with cars will find garage parking within 300 metres, and practical onsite amenities include a dry cleaning service and a safe deposit box at the front desk. For those wishing to explore the area, the Accademia is 500 metres away and the Ponte Vecchio, San Lorenzo market, Fortezza da Basso and Santa Croce are all within two kilometres. Florence Vespucci Airport is ten kilometres away and takes approximately 20 minutes to reach by car.

By car, take A1 Motorway in the direction of Firenze Centro. Although the airport is very close to Florence, traffic can be bad in the city, so guests are advised to allow 20 minutes. The airport is a short taxi ride from town (costing 13 16 EUR) although it is also possible to take the half hourly bus, which transports passengers to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence. Buses service the city centre; tickets can be bought at tobacconists or vending machines. Tickets are sold on a time basis one hour, two hour or 24 hour tickets. Traffic is restricted in the city centre and parking is expensive, so the centre of Florence is best explored on foot. Taxis wait outside Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.
From the airport, head for the city centre until reaching Vilai di Circonvallaziona and Piazza Della Liberta. Take the second street on the right, Via Cavour, and then the second street on the left, Via Micheli and then the first street on the right, Via La Marmora.
